This is a small group coaching programme for women who want to shape the next chapter of their career.
(lead by Georgina Furr, experienced leadership coach and former diplomat)
Who is the FIKA programme for? FIKA group coaching is for women who want to take their careers to the next level. You might be looking for promotion, a change of focus, a career pivot, or you might want to give your own business a boost. You might also be craving greater balance, calm, authenticity or sense of purpose at work.
How will FIKA support my career? Whatever your professional situation and goal, the FIKA group coaching programme will give you the clarity, confidence and self-compassion to move ahead with intention. If you’d like to explore how Fika could support you in your career, book a chat with Georgina at www.georginafurrcoaching.com/contact
What actually is coaching? Great question! You’re probably familiar with mentoring, where typically a more senior or experienced person (mentor) shares their knowledge and advice with a mentee. Coaching also supports the individual in their development, but with one key difference: a coach won’t give you guidance or answers. They might invite you to consider different perspectives, but coaching’s purpose is to support you to find the answers and way forward that are right for you.
What will FIKA actually consist of? Six 90-minute small group meetings (max 8 participants). We’ll meet fortnightly in central Newbury (with occasional exceptions around school holidays). Our sessions will comprise a mixture of inputs from Georgina, group
discussions, self-reflection and pair work. Each participant will also have one 60 min 1:1 online coaching session with Georgina.
Which topics will we explore? As FIKA is a small group programme, we’ll be able to adapt the content to your objectives and preferred ways of working. But as a broad framework, we will cover topics such as: where you are now; your identity(ies); your unique strengths; values and motivations; what you want to change / where you want to get to; what’s holding you back; what support you need; maintaining focus and commitment.
Tell me more about Georgina Furr Coaching! Georgina Furr Coaching started life in early 2026, shortly after Georgina left her 26 year in the Foreign Office and returned to Newbury (where she grew up). Having made a career in a traditionally male/white/neurotypical profession, Georgina is passionate about supporting women and neurodivergents to thrive in the workplace with their values, resilience and authenticity intact. She believes strongly in the power of positive psychology and has created FIKA to help you feel seen, supported and celebrated.
Why FIKA? Several years ago, Georgina and three Foreign Office colleagues formed an informal coffee club at work. They’d regularly brew a cafetiere and take a break from their screens to throw ideas around, or just to decompress from the demands of the job. One day, one of the James’ (yes, half the group was called James!) gleefully introduced us to the concept of fika and from that day forward, our coffee club was known as fika. Fika has always meant more than coffee to Georgina, hence bring the spirit of fika to this group coaching programme.
How much does it cost? The Fika programme, comprising ten hours contact time, comes with an Early Bird price of £250 (if booked before 18 Sept). Thereafter, the standard investment is £350.
