From September 2026, The Skills and Business Hub will be launching a new careers guidance programme for schools.
As the organisation that delivers the Berkshire Careers Hub, we work closely with schools, colleges, employers and strategic partners to support the continuous improvement of careers education. This gives us a unique insight into:
- The responsibilities schools face in delivering effective careers guidance
- National expectations and frameworks shaping provision
- Local and regional labour market needs
- What high‑quality, impactful careers programmes look like in practice
We are supporting education providers in delivering high‑quality, independent careers guidance that meets statutory requirements and aligns with the Gatsby Benchmarks, while strengthening meaningful connections between education and the world of work.

Are you a qualified careers adviser?
From September 2026, we’ll be launching a national Careers Guidance offer for schools, colleges, and training providers.
We’re looking to connect with qualified Careers Advisers in Berkshire and its surrounding counties, Southern England and the UK’s major Cities (including London, the Midlands and Manchester) who are interested in being part of this new venture.
