An Introduction to Early Findings

Inspection evidence on Adult Skills Bootcamps has grown significantly since the revised framework was introduced in November 2025. While still developing, a clearer picture is starting to emerge about what’s working well—and where challenges remain.

Early findings suggest that Skills Bootcamps are largely delivering on their core purpose: helping adults gain job-relevant skills and move into employment. However, inspection evidence also highlights some important variations in quality that are less about sector, and more about how provision is designed and delivered.

Why This Matters Locally

Although based on national inspection activity, these insights are highly relevant to Berkshire. Local delivery closely reflects the provider mix, sectors and models seen in the inspection evidence, making the findings directly applicable.
