Careers Education Framework Training

Deliver quality careers education for autistic young people.
Ambitious about Autism Logo

Did you know that only 57% of autistic young people in the UK felt that careers advisors understood autism? Developing an understanding of autism and inclusive careers provision is key to helping autistic learners transition into meaningful training and employment after leaving education. An effective careers education approach and programme during school and college is essential. It ensures that autistic young people gain the necessary employability skills and learn about themselves while accessing tailored opportunities they can use to prepare for adulthood.

Ambitious about Autism’s free autism-specific Careers Education Framework has been created based on research running educational settings and designed in partnership with the Careers and Enterprise Company. The CEF will help you deliver good careers education for autistic young people. It provides top tips, resources, guides and templates for careers leaders through an interactive online guide. For more information or to access CEF resources, please visit our webpage here.

To help embed the CEF in educational settings and improve careers provision for autistic learners, Ambitious about Autism are excited to offer new dates for our ‘Careers Education Framework in your setting’ training, starting in June 2024 and running through the next academic year.

Individual places on their open access courses are available for £49 and can be booked via Eventbrite here. The course is also available for whole-school trainings, or for trainings to careers hubs! If you are interested in booking the training for your hub, please contact us at [email protected]
