Eligible applicants must:

- Employ fewer than 50 full-time equivalent staff
- Operate in a designated rural area
- Have been trading before January 2022
- Comply with UK subsidy control rules
- Not have received funding from other DEFRA schemes
Businesses can apply for fixed grants of £20,000 or £14,681.50. A total of £109,363 is available across six grants. Projects must begin within three months of receiving funding.
