The Growth Academy is delighted to have started to expand its Skills Bootcamps delivery into new counties, building on the successes of the current delivery in Berkshire.
Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is encouraging businesses across Somerset to take up this government funded Skills Bootcamp in Sales, delivered by The Growth Academy Somerset. The programme offers practical, accredited sales training one morning a week, designed to help local business owners, directors and staff increase sales, win new customers and build confidence for a stronger 2026. The Skills Bootcamp is funded through Somerset Council and the Department for Education. It runs online over sixteen weeks, with around sixty hours of learning and support, and leads to a Level 3 sales qualification endorsed by the Institute of Sales Management. The Growth Academy is a high-quality training provider specialising in Skills Bootcamps for business. Founded in 2024, the Growth Academy’s Skills Bootcamps focus on helping small business owners, solopreneurs and employees build confidence in essential business skills. Its flagship sales programme is now available in Somerset and Dorset, and is led by Sales Director and trainer Richard Palmer, who has over thirty three years of experience in sales, business development and coaching. The course covers core sales skills, negotiation, communication, business development, account management and the use of technology and artificial intelligence to generate and convert leads. Sessions are built around coaching and real life situations, helping participants apply what they learn directly to their own business or role.

The Growth Academy achieved exceptional recognition with their January 2025 Ofsted evaluation receiving “significant progress” ratings across all themes – a gold standard achievement in UK education. The report highlighted several strengths of the programme, including effective monitoring of participation and progress, carefully planned training by experienced, specialist staff, and exceptional outcomes for learners. Their programs are designed to be transformational, with participants dedicating four hours per week for up to 16 weeks to develop practical skills that address real-world business challenges.
