Domestic Ventilation Systems Design, Installation, Services and Maintenance

This 10-week Skills Bootcamp is ideal for experienced electricians, plumbers, ventilation installers and heating engineers looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of domestic ventilation systems.

The training programme has been structured to meet the requirements of the Approved Document Part F of the Building Regulations 2020 and is recognised as a demonstration of competence for Competent Person Schemes. 

Delivered through a combination of remote learning and face to face. There are no formal pre-requisites for this course, however, an appreciation of the requirements for a typical ventilation system is an advantage.

Candidates will learn how to meet the requirements of the manufacturers for the design, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and provision of information for fixed Domestic Ventilation Systems for both new and existing buildings currently available in the UK.

Activate Learning – Sustainability and Carbon Management

This 10-week course provides simple, practical guidance on how you can embed sustainable practices within a business. Designed for individuals with a passion for sustainability, the course will give you the confidence you need to drive positive change.

This course introduces key sustainability principles and helps learners assess and improve their business’s environmental impact.

Topics include energy efficiency, resource and waste management, sustainable transport, supply chains, stakeholder engagement, and upcoming regulations. Learners will develop a tailored sustainability action plan to support long-term, responsible business practices.

Delivered in person in weeks 1 and 10 with two online sessions a week between weeks 2-9.

Entry requirements are Level 2 English and Maths qualification, basic working IT knowledge with an awareness and interest in Sustainability.
